How Paige Bueckers & Azzi Fudd Became Close On and Off the Court | Close Friends Only with Instagram

Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd — two of the biggest names in women’s basketball — talk about their friendship, UConn careers, competition, and life on and off the court in this episode of Close Friends Only with Instagram. With Paige entering the WNBA as the 2025 No. 1 draft pick for the Dallas Wings and Azzi continuing her standout run at UConn — including a national title and major 2026 honors — they share how their relationship has evolved and what it’s like balancing being teammates, competitors, and close friends. They talk about how their friendship developed at UConn, how they communicate on and off the court, and how competition shapes their dynamic. They also answer questions fans often ask — including who has the better shot, how competitive they really are, and what they admire most about each other. The conversation also covers lighter moments, from Instagram Close Friends lists and social habits to favorite players, shooting styles, and how they see each other as both competitors and friends. Paige and Azzi also discuss how athletes use Instagram to connect with fans, share their lives beyond basketball, and build relationships through personality, not just performance. This episode explores women’s basketball, friendship, and digital culture — and how Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd balance competition, trust, and visibility both on the court and across Instagram.
